Calendar of Events 2019-2020

These events fund the planting and maintenance of nine gardens throughout the village and town of Warwick and programs such as Garden Therapy at Mt. Alverno, Arbor Day, Scholarship Fund for students majoring in Horticultural Science, Library book
donations and the Railroad Green Holiday Project.

August 2, Friday 9:00 am

Day trip to Ulster County. Come and enjoy this two-part day trip to Kerhonkson, NY.  “Talk and Tea” program at the Catskill Native Nursery followed by a tour of the nearby private Bradford Graves Sculpture Park with most sculptures set in nature.

Lunch break at a local restaurant. Carpooling recommended.

Garden Therapy: “Gifts from the Garden” – Members of the team share flowers from their gardens. Residents share memories of their gardens.

Residents harness the shades of fall to create a flower arrangement.

The Warwick Valley Gardeners decorate the park for the holidays. Join us in the celebration and lighting of the green.

Garden Therapy: Flower Arranging. “Christmas Joy”

Team members and residents create an arrangement using seasonal greens, 

berries and flowers to create a beautiful display that they can enjoy or give as a gift.
